We train together and have a weekly company run. Some of us even run marathons - 5 novices ran the Great North Run Half Marathon last year and raised £10,000 for charities in Sudan. Two are entered for the New York Marathon later this year!

We began 2005 united in wanting to contribute to the Tsunami effort. We launched 'The Friends of Asia Mega PR Sale' in conjunction with PR Week asking the whole PR industry to empty their stock rooms and sell the goods to the public in aid of the appeal. We raised £23,000 on a sleeting Saturday in February.

Prior to our move to Bermondsey we spent 5 years in Southwark and coped with the odd mugging, pilfering and the occasional pellet through the window. As a team we thought a Christmas tree in the community playground opposite would look nice - for one day.

We also thought the lighting-up ceremony, carol singing and mince pies would be scorned. How wrong we were. We discovered we had lovely and appreciative neighbours. And the tree - it twinkled untouched until twelth-night.

If the Savoy Hotel can have a 'Writer in Residence' then we thought we could have a 'Photographer in Residence'. Through Central St Martin's School of Art we were put in touch with third-year student Andrew Volves. We offered him a monthly bursary to attend our office randomly during the month and click away as the Agency went about its business and at the end of the year we will have a comprehensive record of our life at The SPA Way.
