We like work and we like play

It is well worth a visit to Bermondsey on a Monday evening to witness the company run in action.  Led by the pussycat you see to your right , the weekly run has been going strong for three years.  Some of us have even run marathons!  Five novices ran the Great North Run Half Marathon in 2004.  Since then efforts have been redoubled with Sara completing the New York Marathon in 2005, and a team of ten storming (some stumbling) over the finish line of the Great North Run 2006.

In the last three years we have raised in excess of £50,000 for a variety of charities.  These have included: Aegis Foundation, Bella’s Fund, The Disasters Emergency Committee, Goal and the King’s World Trust.  We are also the proud owners of four acres of Amazon Rainforest – we thought ‘The SPA Way – Brazil’ had a nice ring to it!

In 2004 we held our first carol concert, outside our old offices in Southwark, near the community playground.  Despite our initial fears that the mince pies, mulled wine, the tree lighting up ceremony and singing would be scorned by our neighbours they turned out to be very appreciative and a great time was had.  The success led us to do it again last year outside our new offices and we plan to make it an annual event.    

We are always plotting new ways to raise money, morale and motivation and schemes are currently at the planning stage for 2007 involving sky diving and treading the boards en masse!
